Music Association's Artist Competition, where he placed in the top 20 at the National Semi-Finals round. Noah has a heart

Noah in a nut shell - I have always loved singing. I can still remember my first 'public' appearance when I was six.
I sang 'Silent Night' in the Christmas pageant at the church where my grampa was pastor. Going on two decades later (and several
octaves lower), I still love singing for people. All through highschool I studied musical theatre and opera, performing in
several regional shows, singing in the all-state choir, being accepted into Interlochen's summer program, being invited to
a summer intensive in New York City. As my senior year started nearing the end, I started looking at universities and thinking
about what I was supposed to do. It became clear to me that the direction I intended on going was not where God wanted me
to continue heading. I decided to take a year off and do the hardest thing I've ever done. Completely hand my FUTURE over
to God. Almost immediately doors began swinging open almost faster than I could step through them. Not even a year later,
I finished recording my debut album (Wide Asleep) and was given the opportunity to tour all over the nation and open for "The
Imperials". I'm now leading worship at my church and pursuing a music degree at WTAMU. After experiencing the blessings
of listening and following my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, I can think of nothing better to do with my future than to let
God have it and continue enjoying the view from the co-pilot's seat. Where will I be in a year? Five years? I have no idea,
but I am loving Jesus and enjoying the adventure of my life.

WHY "WIDE ASLEEP"? Because that’s the thing that I think best describes our generation’s spiritual level.
Like a person who is sleep walking, we’re active, going through the motions, but not comprehending why we’re doing
them or what our goal is; not really all the way "there". We’re going to church, getting involved, going to
church camps, like good Christians should. But the rest of the time, we’re "zoned out" to God and His perfect
plan for our lives. Not comprehending how He could be using us to affect our surroundings. I think we are afraid to step outside
the box, take a leap of faith with God and do something that is not the cultural norm. If we want to make a difference for
God’s kingdom we’re going to need to wake up and take action and trust God to catch us.
Thessalonians 5:4-8 (MSG) But friends,
you're not in the dark, so how could you be taken off guard by any of this? You're sons of Light, daughters of Day.
We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. So let's not sleepwalk through life like those others. Let's
keep our eyes open and be smart... Since we're creatures of Day, let's act like it. Walk out into the daylight sober,
dressed up in faith, love, and the hope of salvation.
